Search Engine Optimization SEO is E-mail Campaigns and Advertising Banners
Many people who are new to internet marketing think that search engine optimization is one solution to insufficient traffic. Search engine optimization, or SEO for short, for more detail go to: www.greatseosecrets.com.is actually a package of multiple services that help drive traffic to web sites.
In a nutshell, SEO covers the following aspects: respect for search engines and their rules, design of a web site, various components of internet marketing (pay-per-click ads, promotions, for more detail go to: www.thesearchengineprimer.com. blogs, newsletters, catalogs), article submission (fresh content is imperative), reciprocal links, keyword purchase, and if you’re selling a product or service on a large scale basis, your internet marketing should also have affiliates.
Other services that go under search engine optimization are web site design, payment facilities, e-mail campaigns and advertising banners.
Given these multiple services, you need a company that offers one-stop shopping. About 10 years ago, SEO companies focused on only a few core activities of internet marketing, obliging web site owners and retailers to contact different companies for web site design, advertising, and payment facilities. Today, successful SEO companies are offering complete packages, providing extra services that will make the e-commerce experience of a web site owner smoother and more efficient. In addition to web site design and domain registration, SEO companies also offer copywriting and article submission services; they realize that when surfers are looking to buy a particular product or service, they need to feel that they are buying from a company that knows their product and shares useful, practical information.
Instead of defining search engine optimization in an academic way which is rather limiting, we will mention some elements that constitute good SEO practice:
Using of appropriate keywords in individual web pages
Getting your site listed in the indexes and lists of search engines and directories
Creating web pages that search engines like Google and MSN can read and won’t penalize
Avoid search engine penalties by adhering to guidelines provided by major search engines.
Building pages that will attract more traffic
Monitoring how your web site is doing vs. your competitors
Encouraging other web sites to link to your web site
Now someone might argue, “I know what I want to sell and know how to sell it, so why should I even bother about search engine optimization when I have a nice web site and a catalog that people can look at?”
This statement is an accurate reflection of a “newbie” in internet marketing. Just because one has a web site and a product to sell does not mean he will sell that product and start making money.
First he needs customers. Where does he get customers? Sure, his family and friends can help by announcing to their network of contacts that he has a web site. But there are millions of web sites vying for the same traffic. The reason SEO should be our # 1 concern is that we won’t be able to do any effective advertising online if there are no people. Second, search engines are the greatest single source of people; your potential customers.

What is the best Internet search engine?
I seem to find pros and cons in all of them, which one is the best?
Google.com is the best when it comes to general search. Yahoo may use the engine of Bing in future..
Bing is getting popular day by day but have to go miles before they can compete with G
Comcast has released the latest PR on search share of the top searsearch engines. google and Yahoo have lost .3% of their search shares while Bing have gained .6 % which is a great break through for Bing. Google Sites led the U.S. core search market in January with 65.4 percent of the searches conducted, followed by Yahoo! Sites (17.0 percent), and Microsoft Sites (11.3 percent). Ask Network captured 3.8 percent of the search market, followed by AOL LLC with 2.5 percent.

These days most people like to spend time on the web and be online always. Business owners have come to realize that the web is the best place where one can market their goods and wares. So these days selling and buying goods through the web is hugely popular among the public. For doing this successfully search engine optimization is one aspect that you need to take proper care of. search engines are the source through which people search for any kind of information on the web.
So if you want to be successful on the web with your business, you must make sure that you do proper search engine optimization of your business. Search engine optimization is nothing but the different measures which are adopted for making a site extremely popular on the web. The idea is to make the product to a brand so that everyone easily recognizes it be it on the web or anywhere else. The whole idea behind search engine optimization is to make online visitors buy goods from your business site. Search engines do not view or receive a site like humans do. To get recognition on the web, sites must get rankings and ratings from all major search engines.
Now if you are running a business it does not mean that you will be an expert in Search Engine Optimization as well. Keep Your Search Engine Options Open to Find Better Information
Gone are the days when all research was done in the library and with encyclopedias. These days, students can almost avoid the library altogether throughout their education. The Internet is the main reason for this - online libraries, databases, and the World Wide Web have made nearly unlimited information available to its users. Of course, along with any type of good searching and researching practices, users must be cautious with the information they obtain.
It’s absolutely true that there is a lot of information on the web, but it’s equally true that not all of it is valid, usable, or based on fact. It is also valuable to switch up your search/research tactics from time-to-time, to find the strategy that produces the most desirable results for you.
The so-called “Big Three” search engines are: MSN, Google, and Yahoo. These three engines are popular for a reason. Nearly 72% of searchers use these three sites for results. At this point, all three of these engines are massive and moneyed.
They are able to employ powerful spider programs that can crawl the Internet, looking for and returning search results. Their funding makes them able to afford more computing power, better spiders, and whatever new technology evolves to comb the Internet in an automated fashion.
The downside to these popular engines is that results lists are becoming highly advertising-focused. The big marketing term that online marketers are consumed with is “search engine optimization” or SEO. With a focus on SEO, search results can lead to articles that are heavily laden with “keywords”.
These keywords are often specifically implanted to draw better and higher placement on results pages. That doesn’t necessarily translate into valuable or desired information for you, the searcher. In addition, the big three search engines incorporate sponsored-placed results in their lists. If searchers don’t notice the “sponsored” classification, they may believe these results are part of the desired information, instead of merely advertisements.
An often-overlooked tool for searching the Internet is a Meta search engine. These Meta engines don’t have the budget of the big engines, which is one reason they’re frequently overlooked or simply ignored.
Another reason I believe they’re overlooked is because they compile the results of multiple search engines. There’s no benefit, in the eyes of the Big Three, to meta search engines, because their results are combined with their competitors’. Unless they can guarantee that their particular search results would be the highest ranked, they’d rather not deal with meta engines at all.
Meta search engines dampen the brand power of the bigger search engine companies. Plus, bigger search engines don’t want you to find out that you prefer a different engine over theirs!
These underused meta search engines offer different perspectives and results than what you’ve come to expect from other search engines. Some of the best meta search engines currently available are: http://www.dogpile.com, http://www.widow.com, http://www.clusty.com, and http://www.surfwax.com.
Dogpile.com is perhaps the best-known of the meta engines. It complies the top 10 results from various sites, including the Big Three. As a comparison, widow.com uses a different mathematical equation to compile results, eliminating the sponsored results found on dogpile.com and minimizing repetition of content.
Clusty.com also compiles results, but separates out the sponsored results at the top of the page, making it far less confusing for users, as compared to digging through dogpile’s mix of sponsored and unsponsored results. Finally, surfwax.com lists one-line results, giving you a large quantity of results at an eye’s glance.
For a searcher who needs to find and sort through a great deal of information available online, meta search engines are the way to go. They ultimately save time for the researcher, who doesn’t need to type in the same search terms over and over in each individual search engine. It also helps to cut down on repeat results if you use the right meta search engine (widow.com, for example, does a better job of not having repeats than dogpile.com, in my experience).
Niche search engines offer different results than the typical search engines, as well. For many Internet users, these niche engines are not even known to exist. However, hundreds of niche search engines do exist, on a wide-ranging set of topics or niches.
Some popular niche engines you may have heard about (and not realized were niche engines) include: http://www.technorati.com, http://www.healthline.com, and http://www.blog-search.com. Technorati.com focuses on the blogosphere of tech topics. Healthline.com is comprised of all things health and medical related. Blog-search.com focuses on, well, just what it sounds like - blogs!
Finally, human search directories offer yet another perspective for your searches. If you are not familiar with these, you really should give them a try sometime.
Directories like http://www.mahalo.com and http://www.dmoz.com are two examples of human search directories. In these, actual human beings research topics, providing pages with the most relevant results. They can be really interesting and spot-on, but they can also be highly subjective, according to who is assigned to a topic. As always, be cautious with the information you receive, as there is real potential for human error and human opinion to affect the search results.
Finally, when deciding which search engines to use for your searches and research, think of quantity versus quality. Some search engines will give you a high quantity of results, but they can contain a good portion of sponsored results, and a lowered portion of content results.
The purpose of researching a topic online is to learn new information, and if you are relying on the Big Three search engines, you might just find that there is nothing new to be seen under the Google, Yahoo or MSN.
A quality search engine should save time for the searcher, so keep your options open to less traditional search engines to get a more in-depth understanding of your topic!

Easy International Leads With Foreign Search Engine Submissions
In most countries Google, Yahoo! and MSN are the leading search engines for all online research. It might appear that they are the only search engines out there. But they are not.
Some countries have local directories and search engines in their own local language. You should know about these search engines if you are targeting foreign countries.
Internet users in foreign countries may not use the search engines where you have your website listed. Even if your website is listed in your your country’s major search engines, foreign audiences may not even be able to find your website. They will be using their own foreign language search engine.
Let’s see how you can get your website registered on any other foreign language search engines in the foreign countries you are targeting.
Submitting your Site to Foreign Search Engines
First of all your website will probably not be listed in any foreign language search engine. Most websites are not.
Even Google will not list all websites when a user does a search in its own Google country specific search engine. For sites that are listed, Google can give a lower priority to sites that Google considers foreign.
Properly submitting your site to foreign search engines will instantly make your entire website open to searches done in foreign countries. It can also give you higher search results in foreign markets.
If you want people in a foreign country to find your website you need to register your website with each leading search engine directory in each country you want traffic from. Most people will simply not realize this or ask their webmasters to take care of part of the work.
Getting your website referenced in each of the foreign countries you are targeting is essential. You want all of your clients searching for your products to find your website. Remember, you will need to get your website referenced in each language and each country.
Free Online Translation Tools
Free online translations are not 100% error proof, but they are much, much better than even a couple of years ago. If you keep your text clear and simple to begin with, the translation should be a decent standard.
Nervous about the quality of translations?
Want to give the free translation tools a test?
Look up a couple of websites in your target foreign market that are in the local language. Pick websites on a topic you are very familiar with.
Use the free translation tools on a page of text or two and read through. This will give you a general idea of the quality you can expect.
The Process To Submit Your Website
First, do your research. Identify the leading search engines for the countries you are interested in.
Simply use the free online translation tools to systematically translate each page.
Find the page where you can register your website. Work through the registration process until you have completed it.
For this exercise, you will not translate any part of your website into a foreign language.
You need the free translation tools simply to understand how to register your current website with the local foreign language search engines.
It is not a difficult process.
Case Study On Submitting Websites To Foreign Directories
Using a very short tutorial found at the Cindy King website where you can learn to submit your website to several foreign language search engines.
More search engines are being added, with examples of search engines from different countries.
The first tutorial started with Chinese and Russian, two languages the writer did not understand. The exercise was done out of curiosity to see how easy it would be to complete the registration. Both foreign directory submissions were surprisingly easy.
Improve Your Foreign Search Engine Results In One Quick Step
And let’s look at going one step further. This will get your current website even more visibility in a foreign country.
Use a free translation tool to translate one of your web pages into Korean, Chinese or Russian for example. Choose one of your web pages with a fair amount of text that is easy to read, a services page or about us page for example.
Submit that single translated web page to the corresponding Korean, Chinese or Russian search engine.
This will has two main benefits:
- The translated page will get you higher search engine results than simply having your website registered with the foreign search engine directory.
- The foreign search engines will also look at your other web pages, the ones you did not translate and those pages will also get better visibility.
Search Engine Submissions For Foreign Visibility
International internet marketing can bring you international leads and clients.
Even if you are on a very limited budget, you can test a foreign country, or two. Begin with a small budget. Focusing on a narrow international niche will allow your business to grow internationally as you find the strengths of your products in international markets.
The key is to make sure your website is communicating with the local people in the foreign country. You can start very easily by submitting your website to foreign search engines.
