I’m a graphic and web designer, so I do understand a little bit about search engine optimization, but I’ve just never gotten it to work very well for me. I would like to start a blog, and I’d like it to be search able to the public - would it be better to make my own website, or to use something like blogger? How would I optimize it?

i think one great way to increase your traffic, is to share link to your web as much as possible, you can try to add to directory online such as dmoz.org, share your content on digg.com or delicioous.com or the other services. The key is make is make search engine know that your domain is important.

I finally made my program and finally made my website. I did everything that I needed to do. Now all I need is search engine visibility. According to some internet articles, I can make lots of sites link back to my site. But that requires signing up and that takes forever to do. So I’m looking for a way to make my site visible in a short amount of time. Any way that I can do that? Thanks in advance.

It’s mostly a glitch in the Google search engine. Things like this happen and I bet their working to repair it. Give it a few hours and try again.

I have Internet Explorer and I think it is Internet Explorer 6. I downloaded this thing and it came along with the search engine Fast Browser Search which I do not want. How to I change this to be google.

Google is apparently the best one, one can have..I haven’t tried Google wave yet but wonder if a search engine could have more features with its main work ’search results’.. For example, sth which allows you to do social interaction with other users who search for the same thing you search for.. Life would be easy right.. Need you ‘Internet geeks’ help!!

What is the search engine? And if you downloaded a game, you must uninstall it, not just delete it. Go to Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel and find your game. Click to remove it, but before you do, see if your strange search engine is also listed. I don’t think it will be, but if it is, you will need to remove it also. After removing whatever programs you need to get rid of, close the control panel and restart your computer so the changes will take effect.

As to slowing your computer, we really need to know what the program is to answer that.

I just downloaded Bing another search engine or something with windows live. I’m not sure if it downloaded, however I can’t seem to get google back as my search engine only bing. How do I set google as my default search engine. Thank you!

google asks you on the home page if you want it set as your home page
